Design future-proof IT solutions with us as IT Operations Engineer 24/7 (m/f/d) – Generalist Network & Managed OS at our location in Cluj-Napoca.
YOUR TASKS:
- 2nd/3rd level IT operations in a 24/7 rotating shift team (not a first-level service desk)
- Monitoring of customer systems and response to alerts according to SLAs.
- Taking over and resolving escalated incidents, including root cause analysis on server, network and cloud level.
- Operations desk and extended workbench for the one.operate hubs: service requests, standard changes,recurring maintenance.
- Execution of planned changes in maintenance windows according to runbooks.
- Operation of Linux (SUSE, Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
- Troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, VPN and firewall issues.
- Support of customer workloads in Microsoft Azure.
- Involving the on-call service when specialist expertise is needed.
- Documentation in ticketing system and knowledge base, automation of recurring tasks on dedicated project days.

WHAT YOU BRING:
- Vocational training in IT (e.g. FachinformatikerSystemintegration) or a comparable degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT operations, ideally in managed services or a data centre.
- Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, DNS,DHCP, VPN.
- Hands-on Linux administration on the command line.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with monitoring tools and ITSM ticketing systems.
- Willingness to work 24/7 rotating shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Very good English; German is an advantage.
Nice to have: Microsoft Azure (e.g. AZ-104), LPIC or CCNA, scripting in Bash, PowerShell or Python.
