YOUR TASKS:

The platform at night, the customer by day - both halves belong to this role.

  • You are the second-level contact for key users: single point of contact for our customers' IT administrators and service owners on server and platform services.
  • You monitor the entire IT service landscape across all customers and business units, assess events, resolve them or escalate them properly qualified, 24/7/365.
  • You work with agentic monitoring and auto-triage: AI correlates and pre-classifies, approved runbooks close standard events before they escalate and you feed back what the runbooks still miss.
  • You isolate and resolve complex faults on all levels: hardware, software, network, communication and document incidents, requests and changes in ITSM Tool Ivanti.
  • You watch our customers' SAP landscapes in travel retail and healthcare via defined runbooks, job failures, file systems, locks, dumps, backups, system start/stop.
  • You run planned maintenance at weekends, patches, updates, controlled restarts, backup verification and activate senior administration and on call when needed, after executing approved standard actions yourself.
  • You see more than one landscape. Retail, logistics, manufacturing, energy, insurance, media, healthcare. Not parked on a single account for three years.
  • You support IT projects with our German operations and consulting teams, document what you learn for colleagues and our AI agents, and help ensure compliance in regulated environments (NIS2/KRITIS, DORA).
  • Support the planning and execution of IT projects

WHAT WE OFFER YOU:

  • You do not carry 24/7 alone. Night shifts are shared across one team in Romania, Spain and Germany, with the German operations team and on-call behind you for escalations. Rosters are planned in advance — and night shifts can be worked from home.
  • We are building our SAP operations up right now. You do not need SAP Basis on day one, but you will grow into it quickly: from monitoring and runbooks into operational tasks, and — if you want it — into real Basis work such as kernel and support-package updates, HANA topics and system changes. Bring SAP experience and you shape how we do it from the start. Don't bring it, and we build it with you.
  • AI and automation skills built on the job: short course, practice on real events, small work sample, badge — during working hours, not in your free time.
  • Your side project becomes our operating model. If you build n8n workflows or work with coding agents, that goes into how our team actually works — the runbook you automate is the alert nobody gets woken up for again.
  • A visible way forward: our Knowledge & Automation Engineer and AI Evaluation Engineer roles are filled from our own teams first.
  • A team of 10 to 15 in Cluj — small enough that people know your name, with direct access to your team lead and to our German and international customers.
  • 2 days home office per week, 2 days on site in Cluj.
  • Certification support — CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, SAP — paid, with time to prepare.
  • 25 days of vacation, private healthcare, meal vouchers, and German language training funded up to C1. 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Completed vocational training in IT (System Integration) or a comparable technical qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT Operations, System Administration, or a Service Operation Center.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and IT security.
  • Monitoring and event management experience — assessing, correlating, prioritising alarms as plus confidence with AIOps tooling.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, SCCM/Intune and scripting (PowerShell or Bash) is a plus.
  • Interest in AI-driven IT operations, automation, and workflow tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift model.
  • German (C1) and English (B2) language skills.
